About me
Hi, I’m Marwan (but you can call me Maro)!
I am Egyptian, grew up in Abu Dhabi, and eventually moved to Canada to study mechanical engineering at the University of Waterloo. While I’ve always loved food (shoutout to Fatafeat, my favorite childhood cooking channel), I didn’t really start cooking until university — where my “specialty” was microwave rice with jarred butter chicken sauce.
What started as a survival skill slowly turned into a passion. Between binge-watching YouTube cooking videos and learning from my dad’s incredible Egyptian dishes, I began experimenting more in the kitchen.
Fast forward to working a 9–5 and hitting the gym, I found meal prepping to be a total game-changer. No more overpriced, unhealthy Tim Hortons wraps or guilty Subway runs—just peace of mind with tasty, high-protein meals that actually kept me full.
Now, my goal is simple: to show that meal prepping is the only solution to avoiding overpriced and unhealthy lunches that often leave you still hungry. With some planning, you can eat food that’s healthy, filling, and delicious — all week long. And while I’m at it, I’m always learning new recipes and tricks to share.
Let’s make meal prep simple, approachable, and something you’ll actually look forward to.
